Steering calibration

The console uses satellite data received by the receiver mounted on the top of the vehicle to identify the exact coordinates of the vehicle. Using these and other data, the system is able to estimate the position of the vehicle and the steering system used.

To ensure that it operates correctly, the system must be calibrated for the specific vehicle. If the system has not been calibrated for the vehicle in question, follow the procedure described in this chapter.

WARNING: Drive the vehicle to a suitable location with flat terrain, with no persons or obstacles in the vicinity and with sufficient space to drive in a complete circle. To ensure accurate calibration, the visibility must be good and the vehicle must be a sufficient distance away from trees, high-voltage cables and buildings. If the implement is pivoted or towed, it is advisable to unhitch it in order to avoid interference from the drawbar.

Note: The calibration screens may vary depending on the vehicle selected. Certain steering controllers also include a hydraulic system calibration function.
